The October Music Fest is a brand new music festival organised by Stichting Mista’peo and Hardangerlokk. It offers a program of contemporary and traditional music and authentic modern jazz, performed by top musicians from all over the world. The first edition of the festival starts on Saturday October 18 in Kabuso in Øystese. The program combines authentic Hardanger music, European jazz and flamenco. Passion, originality and inspiring crafmanship will guarantee a day of great music. The second day of the festival, Sunday October 19, will take place in Art Centre Messen, based in the former administration building of Bjølvefossen in Ålvik. In the morning there will be two workshops/masterclasses and in the afternoon the performing musicians of the festival will meet for an adventurous session. The October Music Festival is another special event in the cultural area of Hardanger that you shouldn't miss.
